The Hall is now accepting certain categories of bookings, in line with Government guidelines.
In general, these are bookings, for classes and meetings, where attendees are known, and the Hirer can be trusted to meet the various guidelines. These guidelines limit the number of people in the Hall to 30, and the Dakota Room to 11.
Please contact the organisers of the various Regular Events directly for news of re-booking.
The kitchen remains closed, as will the Ladies & Gents toilets - only the single disabled facility may be used.
To avoid congestion in the Lobby, a oneway system is in place with exiting via the back or side doors; masks are to be worn.
There is a poster outlining brief instructions in the hall, and a copy may be seen here.
There are Special Conditions of Hire, additional to and taking precedence over all of our normal conditions, which amongst other things includes contact tracing, and a complete wipedown af all surfaces.
The kitchen/Servery area will remain closed for the time being due to the cleaning requirements which we cannot manage, and resumption of party bookings will therefore be delayed.
Peter Baillie for DAVH Committee
Managing Village Hall Bookings
Would anyone like to take on this very valuable and important role for the Hall and the village?
It is crucial to running the Hall as a valuable resource for the village, for parties, classes, meetings and other events.
Having carried out this role for 10 years, Peter Baillie would like to hand it over to someone else.
If you would like to discuss it first, please phone or email me, details in DA News or via "Contact Us" on this website.
